| When Charmed was born,
James claimed her for his own and
has spent hours working with her and showing her. She was his special baby
and
she certainly didn't disappoint us when she became a milker. She is a very
correct doe with tremendous body capacity and width. She also has a
gorgeous mammary especially excelling in rear udder height and width and
she has filled that udder to capacity every day since she freshened as a 2
year old! She completed an outstanding record with her first freshening
and came back as a 3 year old and completed in 293 days 4470M 153F
and 134P. She earned her SG
designation in the summer of 2009. Her dam, Chui, is an SG
doe and is
appraised 89. Charm was added to the ADGA youth honor roll for the second year in a row for her outstanding DHIR record. James was extremely thrilled with his lovely certificate and his beautiful doe. Unfortunately Charm freshened with a severe case of mastitis this year. Although she has some damage to half of her udder she has continued her outstanding milk production. Due to the mastitis she was NIC'd at appraisal this year. We are hoping that we will see improvement after she has gone through another dry period. Charm has three lovely daughters in our herd. Snowflake freshened with an amazing mammary as a second freshener, Charlotte freshened as a yearling also with a beautiful mammary and appraised 87 as a yearling and Cassie, her twin, was GCH and BJDIS at her 1st show as a dry yearling. We can't wait to see her freshen in 2010. Charm will be bred to Mac for late January/early February kids. Bucks only $500. |
