When we were visiting Autumn Acres this past
spring, we were looking to add a second young buck to our string but the
one we had originally chosen was not born. As we looked around the
barn, we noticed a just fresh doe and she was stunning with a totally
amazing mammary. That doe was Finn's dam and she had just delivered two
little buck kids. We chose to bring the little chamoise one home and we
are thrilled with the way he is maturing. Named after his dam, Finn is just correct down through the entire scorecard. His dam, a first freshening 2 year old, is a very large, tall doe with beautiful depth of body and spring of rib. She also has an amazing mammary and is out of the beautiful Tawny doe who appraised EX-92 and was the 2nd place 5 & 6 year old at 2011 Nationals. On his paternal side is the lovely Tara doe, another EX-92 doe who was 2nd place 4 year old at 2011 Nationals. This buck will be used on several of our best yearlings this fall. We can't wait to see him continue maturing and his kids in the spring. |
