We fell in love with Kennedy as a yearling milker and were
thrilled when we were able to purchase her lovely daughter, Kaity. Thanks go to Julie and Kyle Matthys
for parting with this lovely animal.
Kaity is
a very stylish, correct doe...very eye-catching. She excels in
general appearance being very level over her topline and blending very
smoothly in her shoulders. She also stands on a very correct set of legs
and feet.
Kennedy is a smaller frame doe with a truly gorgeous
mammary...high and wide in the rear, long and smooth in the fore and with
lots of capacity. Kaity freshened with an equally lovely
mammary that has very correct teat placement and lots of added capacity.
She has also really excelled in the milk pail this year leading the herd
with over 17# of milk per day for several months.
Kaity was 2X 1st place Junior Yearling milker and 2X RGCH Senior Doe
including at the D4 LaMancha Specialty in 2011 and was 5X 1st place 2 year
old, 2X GCH and 2X RGCH in 2012. In 2013 she has been 5X 1st place 3
year old, 1X GCH and 1X RGCH easily finishing her championship. This doe will only get better with
age
A finished champion, Kaity was
not shown in 2014 but she was #3 for Milk and #8 for Protein on the 2013
ADGA Breed Leader list and appraised EX 90 (VEEE). In 2015, Kaity
was again on the ADGA Breed Leader list for 2014. She was #3 for Milk
and #5 for Protein. She appraised 91 VEEE as her permanent score in
2015. She was also on the 2015 Breed Leader list at #2 for Milk (tied)
and #10 for Protein (tied). Again on the ADGA Breed Leader list for
2016, Kaity was #2 for Milk and #7 for Protein.
Kaity is one of the matriarchs
of the herd. Nothing bothers this lovely doe and she tops the herd for
milk production. She has multiple sons in herds throughout the country
and we feel this is one of our stronger does to breed sons from. If
you're looking for milk with superior type as a bonus, this is the doe
for you!!
Kaity was dried up at 150 days
to allow her time to recover from her very difficult kidding this past
winter.
She will be bred to Hatter for January kids.
Price $800.
