What can I say about this doe? She was
a beautiful animal and we lost her way too soon. Marina just left our herd
this past spring following kidding difficulties in which we lost her and
her twin does. It was a heartbreaking loss.
Marina excelled in dairy character,
body capacity and mammary. She was a large doe, very sharp over her
withers with a long, dairy neck. She was level over her topline, had a
deep body and great spring of rib and a gorgeous mammary. She had a high,
wide rear udder and a long, smoothly attached fore udder with all kinds of
milk.
Marina completed three
consecutive 3000#+ records.
Marina was injured on the way to our first show last season
and was not shown again but did recover well enough to again
appraise 91. Her injuries may have contributed to her kidding difficulties
later in the year.
Marina left us with two daughters, Prue and Maia. She is greatly missed!
