Sharla has been looking to add
a few exceptional recorded grades to her show line-up after losing 2 of
her best to bad kiddings in early 2021. When we made a trip down to
deliver some does to the area we were able to talk Sara Cordle out of
this lovely big doe. Crossfit is a powerful doe, very deep bodied and
wide in the chest floor and escutcheon. She is out of the beautiful
Tempo Shauna doe who was 2nd place 4 year old at the ADGA National Show
standing just behind the National RGCH. Crossfit's maternal granddam is
the well-know and extremely lovely SGCH Tempo Hannah. She is sired
by Tempo Aquila Livingston who has many lovely milking daughters in the
Tempo herd. His dam SGCH Tempo Aquila Living Free appraised 95 EEEE and
was the 2015 National GCH Alpine. What an amazing pedigree!!!
Crossfit certainly didn't
disappoint when she freshened in December and her milk production has
been unbeatable. I would like to see more weight on her but we feel her
milk production potential really prevents that. She has a lovely well
attached udder that milks down to a dishrag. Despite not being one of
the "show string" she appraised a respectable 87 GEVV. While not the
"prettiest" doe in the herd, she is definitely one of the top producers
and she holds that high production for most of her lactation. She also
produces some very pretty daughters. Both of her 2023 daughters earned
dry legs at the Mid-MN Classic..
Crossfit was bred to
Clarence for April kids. Doelings $500
Experimental bucklings $400....this would make a wonderful cross for a
breeder looking for some top production potential in an experimental
buck.
