Kat was probably the most
anticipated kid of the year....her dam is one of my personal favorites
and we planned this breeding carefully. Kat has been slow to mature and
at times has been quite the ugly duckling. We took her to Iowa
Spring Classic where she showed under 4 different judges and she placed
extremely well earning her dry leg!
Kat has so many things to admire...her dairy strength, her long, dairy
neck and smooth blending shoulders. She is still very immature for her
age and needs to develop more body capacity, a trait we hope her sire
brings out in her.
Kat turned into a powerful dry yearling. Since she already had her dry
leg, we chose not to show her and took others out that had not been
shown. Kat is one of the tallest does in the herd standing nearly as
tall as her big dam. She also has a lovely developing mammary with an
extremely high, wide rear udder. Kat has three sisters in the herd...Kerri,
Katrina
and Rone and are among the biggest does in the
herd all excelling in mammary!
