What can I say? Another doe
that Jill Pritchett entrusted to our care and I saw the tears in her
eyes as we loaded her...Moose was a particular favorite of Jill's so a
huge thank you to Jill and Chuck!
Moose is exactly what her name suggests..the biggest doe in the herd.
She is simply a powerhouse but her claim to fame is that stunning
mammary. Not only capacious but hard working, her attachments are
impeccable....she has tremendous height and width to that rear udder
with a stunning arch. Her fore udder is long and smoothly attached with
beautiful teat placement. If I had to criticize Moose for something it
is that she needs stronger pasterns especially in her rear legs. We are
going to focus on some corrective trimming for her over the upcoming
months.
Moose is out of the stunning
Cherry Chutney doe and sire by J-Haven's Seventy Times Seven. She has
two impressive daughters in the J-Haven herd, Booberry and Melons, who
was 7th place Milking Yearling at the 2025 National Show. Moose has had
an impressive show career with many 1st places, 2X GCH at the Indiana
State Fair and 14th place 3 year old at the 2024 National Show. She
appraised 90 VVEE just a week after her long trip from the south!
Moose will be bred to Max for March kids. 1st doeling retained.
