Reaver was a Christmas
addition to James' herd. He fell in love with this beautiful, friendly
young doe and looks forward to showing her in 2025. Reaver is a big doe
with tremendous width and body capacity. She is very wide in her chest
floor and escutcheon standing on very correct feet and legs.
Reaver is an Alder*Rose Nikesh daughter and the Nik daughters have all
excelled in mammary. Nik has an impressive list of beautiful daughters
in milk already. Reaver is also a maternal granddaughter of the lovely
Kastdemur's Aquarelle (SGCH Kastdemur's Aquafina X Kastdemur's Kauai).
Reaver is a clone of her lovely paternal granddam, SGCH Alder*Rose
Amroth Sashi Biswas!! This doe has a pedigree crammed with the who's who
of PNW LaManchas!
Reaver freshened with a
gorgeous mammary...long and extended in the fore, high and wide in the
rear with a beautiful arch. She has perfect teat placement. Reaver
developed a lot of body capacity this year and is very dairy throughout.
She appraised 87 VVVV as a 2nd freshener and the appraiser felt she
showed tremendous promise. I would still like to level her rump out a
bit but all of her daughters seem to have long, level toplines.
Reaver continues to be such an important part of James' herd. She is
such a dairy doe, sharp over her withers, long, lean neck with beautiful
breed character. She also stands on very correct feet and legs and has a
tremendous body capacity. Her greatest strength is her beautiful
mammary....high, wide rear udder, long, smoothly attached fore udder and
nearly perfect teat placement...and to top it off Reaver knows how to
milk and to reproduce herself. She made well over 3000# last year
as a 2 year old and is projected to over 3800# as a 3 year old. Reaver
has 4 daughters in our herd....Nami, Nico, Milly and Lou.
Heartbreakingly we lost her oldest daughter, Tori, to a bad kidding this
past spring.
Reaver will be bred to Newly for April kids. This is a repeat breeding
that produced Milly and Lou. 1st doe will be retained. |
