Happy was an impulse buy when
I went down to J-Haven in the summer to pick up 3 mature does. Both her
and Shimmer had been sold but the buyer backed out and Jill asked me if
I wanted to take a chance on them. Both does were immature yearlings
that needed to mature and both needed another freshening to be part of
our show line-up. Happy is the daughter of the 2022 National RGCH, Livin'
Joyous. She has a powerful dam line to live up to!
Happy is a beautiful general appearance doe...long, level, smoothly
blended. She stands on extremely correct feet and legs and has a very
smoothly attached fore udder. Her greatest weakness is her rear udder
which needs to be higher and wider but we are really hoping that after
settling in well and with another freshening and more milk in that udder
that we will see the kind of udder that her dam had. She is our "wait
and see" kind of doe!
