| Josie is a very special
doe in that she is our last Outlaw daughter as well as the last of the
Ariel line on her maternal side so we have had great hopes for this young doe.
Josie was a bit smaller than the other does as a yearling milker but she is very typical of the
Outlaw girls. She is very correct, sharp and wide. She has tremendous
escutcheon width and stands on very correct feet and legs. She certainly
did not disappoint us in the mammary department when she kidded with a
high, wide rear udder, very correct teat placement and a long, smooth fore
udder. Josie's dam, Cierra, had an EX mammary and her maternal granddam, Ariel, was HES scored 91 with an EX mammary and was many times BOB, BIS and BUIS. Josie seems to be following in the tradition of this lovely family. We were very disappointed this spring when Josie had a false pregnancy and was dry for 2011. The time has served her well as she has grown and matured tremendously. We look forward to seeing her kid again in 2012. Josie was 2X 1st place, 1X RGCH and 1X 2nd and linear appraised 85 as a yearling. She will be bred to Jorell for February kids. All does will be retained. Bucks $400. |
