Snickers has never been very
generous with doe kids so this was a long awaited doeling from my
favorite doe and the cross seems to have worked wonderfully. We've found
that Hatter crosses well with big powerful does like Snickers. KitKat was a bit slow to get started
after birth but she sure took off late last summer and was as big as the
January kids by fall.
Kitkat is very dairy with a long smoothly blended
neck and smoothly blended shoulders. She has a really lovely first
freshener mammary with a wide escutcheon and lovely teat placement.
KitKat is a very immature yearling. Our appraiser told us to just give
her another year or two to "grow up". This doe will take patience but we
are sure the wait will be worth it.
