We have been huge fans of
Shady Lawn's Banana line for a long time and were thrilled to add 2 of
them to the herd this year. Banana Spice is the older of the two...while
I had originally reserved a buck from this breeding, April was kind
enough to offer me a doeling when she didn't have that buck.
Spice is a gorgeous red like her dam who finished her championship as a
milking yearling. Spice is incredibly smooth and stylish. She is a
powerful kid with tremendous depth of body and width of chest. That
width carries through all the way to her hips and escutcheon leaving
lots of room for the coming mammary in the future! I really love the way
this kid fits together and have great hopes for her in the future.
Spice is such a smoothly blended, correct doe. She was to be part of our
2025 show string until she ripped the outer shell of her hoof off in the
spring and spent the summer recovering. She has tremendous body capacity
and width of chest, spring of rib, depth of body and width of
escutcheon. She stands on extremely correct feet and legs. I'm really
excited to see this doe in milk next spring.
Spice will be bred to Quake for February kids.
