This has been a very special
day since the day she was born. Her dam, Snickers, has done everything
we could have hoped for in a doe...SGCH, Top Ten, 92 EEEE as well as
High 305 Milk & Fat, High Lifetime Milk & Fat and Total Performer Award
at the 2021 National Show. What she HASN'T done is give us hardly any
doe kids and at her advanced age this was to be her last breeding.
Tart reminds me so much of her dam...big, leggy, powerful with
tremendous width. She is incredibly level over her topline and has
tremendous width in her escutcheon. She also has a mind of her own! One
of our late born kids in 2024, she was not shown so we decided to take
her out this spring...only she wasn't thrilled by the show ring despite
weeks of "pre-training". Tart is a doe that either you love or you
hate as she is a very extreme doe. I literally can't wait to get
this doe in milk!
Sweet Tart has been low doe on the totem pole all summer. She has had a
steady lactation with high butterfat and protein. She has a very lovely
mammary that reminds me of her dam, Snickers, only with more capacity as
a 1st freshener. She is long, tall and smoothly blended and stands on
excellent feet and legs. I feel this doe would do well as a dairy doe or
as a family milker.
Tart will be bred to Jax for
February kids. 1st doeling retained. This is a repeat breeding that
produced KitKat. |
