Kat was probably the most
anticipated kid of the year....her dam is one of my personal favorites
and we planned this breeding carefully. Kat has been slow to mature and
at times has been quite the ugly duckling. We took her to Iowa
Spring Classic where she showed under 4 different judges and she placed
all the way from 1st to 7th!
Kat has so many things to admire...her dairy strength, her long, dairy
neck and smooth blending shoulders. She is still very immature for her
age and needs to develop more body capacity, a trait we hope her sire
brings out in her. I would like to see her a bit more level over her
rump but she's still very awkward on her rear legs and will hopefully
grow into them over the next year. Kat has three sisters in the herd...Kerri,
Katrina
and Rone and all have needed extra time to
mature and grow into their long legs and awkwardness.
Kat is bred to BJ for March kids. Price $400. |
